Need a filing we don’t list?

Listed filings have a £4.99 service fee. Any Companies House or HMRC fee is added and shown before you pay.

If the filing or change you need is not on our list of company filings, email the company number and a short description of the filing. We’ll reply with a fixed price for that filing before any work starts.

To help us answer in one reply, please include:

  • the company name and the 8-character company number
  • the filing or change you need, for example dormant accounts
  • your order reference, if you have already placed an order

Please do not include your authentication code, payment details or bank statements.

Common questions

I have lost the company authentication code

Companies House sends a replacement code by post to the company’s registered office, and it can take up to 10 working days to arrive. If you cannot get post at the registered office, it can be sent to a company officer’s home address instead. Request an authentication code through us, or read what to do if you have lost your authentication code.

When is my confirmation statement due?

A company must file at least one confirmation statement every 12 months, and can file up to 14 days after the review period ends. See the confirmation statement deadline guide.

When are dormant company accounts due?

Accounts are normally due 9 months after the company’s financial year ends. First accounts are normally due 21 months after the company registered with Companies House. See when dormant company accounts are due, which also covers changed accounting periods.

What if accounts are filed late?

A private company that files its accounts late gets a Companies House penalty of between £150 and £1,500, depending on how late they are. The penalty is doubled if accounts are filed late in 2 successive financial years. Read about Companies House late filing penalties and appeals.

What do you check before filing, and can I get a refund?

How do you use my information?

Read our privacy notice.

Help with the ChatGPT and Claude connector

The free connector searches UK companies, checks public accounts dates and reads our practical guides with official sources. Historical dormant accounts do not establish whether the current accounting period is dormant. It cannot take payments, submit filings or access private customer records, and directory availability depends on each platform’s review.

If a lookup fails, check the eight-character company number, including leading zeros or a two-letter prefix. Companies House may be temporarily unavailable, so you can also check the official company register.
