Service and refund information
What the service fee covers, when we submit, and how to ask for help or a refund.
All filings
Our service fee is £4.99 for each listed task. Applicable government filing fees are included in the total price shown for each service, and where the official charge depends on your circumstances we check it before you pay.
We fill in what we can from the public register and ask only for what is missing. We check your answers and any documents, and a director or other authorised person approves the filing before we submit it.
A payment receipt is not proof that Companies House or HMRC has accepted the filing. Work outside the listed task, such as extra filings or a different type of accounts, needs a separate quotation. See all Companies House and HMRC filings.
Support and refund requests
If you need help, a filing is rejected or you want to request a refund, email [email protected] with your order reference. We’ll review the issue and explain the next step.
Submission target
For every filing, we aim to submit on the same day once all required information, approval and payment are complete. Companies House or HMRC acceptance may take longer.
Address search
Address suggestions are provided by Google Maps Places. By using address search, you agree to the Google Maps terms; Google processes search information under its Privacy Policy.
Check the selected address, including any flat or unit number, before approving your filing. You can enter the address manually instead. See our privacy information for details.
Who provides the service?
SimpleFilings is operated by ONAF Limited, company number 12589383, registered in England and Wales. Registered office: 27 Tilton Drive, Oadby, Leicester, England, LE2 5WW. SimpleFilings is an independent business and is not Companies House or HMRC.
Free company lookup connector
The SimpleFilings connector provides public Companies House information and general filing guides without charge. It does not accept payment, access private customer records or submit accounts.
Public register information can change, and previous dormant accounts do not establish current eligibility. Use the linked official sources to check the rules for your circumstances. For help, contact [email protected] or visit connector support.
Dormant company accounts
Dormant accounts: what your £4.99 covers
For our dormant company accounts filing, we check your company qualifies as dormant, prepare one set of dormant accounts for one company and one accounting period, and file them with Companies House once a director has approved them.
If you get stuck along the way, for example with a missing authentication code, email us and we’ll help. There is no subscription or automatic renewal. Confirmation statements, HMRC tax returns and Companies House late filing penalties are not included.
Before filing dormant accounts
We check eligibility, balances and director approval. The accounts period must have ended. We aim to submit on the same day once all required information, approval and payment are complete. Companies House acceptance may take longer. Your payment receipt is not proof that the accounts have been accepted.
We do not take payment in advance. If the accounts period has not ended, you can save your email and an optional authentication code. We’ll email you with a link back after the year end, so you can check, confirm and pay then.
The checks behind your dormant accounts
We consider activity across the whole accounting period, check the balances against the information provided, and confirm director approval before submission. Previous dormant accounts or a quiet bank account do not establish current eligibility.
If records are missing or the accounts route is unclear, we ask for the information needed before proceeding. Different accounts or extra work require a separate quotation.
Use our free records checklist and worked examples to prepare, or follow the filing walkthrough. The £4.99 is our service fee; Companies House does not charge a fee to file accounts directly.
